The CIR team is delighted to announce a forthcoming webinar on ‘Inter-legality and Surveillance‘, which will take place on Friday, the 20th of November, from 16.00 to 18.00, via Webex.
The seminar will be devoted to the discussion of the recent case of German Constitutional Court from May 2020 (BVerfG 2835/17), in which the Court – relying on international and European human rights norms – ruled that telecommunication surveillance of non-German individuals outside German territory violates the German Constitution.
The decision will be presented by Sümeyye Elif Biber, while subsequent insights will be given by Prof. Raffaele Bifulco. They will explain why the judgment can be considered a successful example of inter-legal reasoning.
For registration, please contact Dr. Tleuzhan Zhunussova by 19th of November, 18.00 (Rome time) at t.zhunussova@santannapisa.it.
