Researchers of Sant’Anna School conducted the 2017 Transparency International’s Business Integrity Country Agenda (BICA) assessment in Italy. The Business Integrity Country Agenda project results will be presented at the Pinacoteca del Tesoriere in Rome on October 10. Gaetana Morgante, Professor of Criminal Law of Sant’Anna School DIRPOLIS (Law, Politics, Development) Institute and member of the project advisory board was responsible for determining the aggregate indicators for the Corruption Perceptions Index which measures the perceived levels of private and public sectors corruption. Conference participants include: the Minister of Justice, AndreaOrlando; Raffaele Cantone, President of Italy’s Anti-Corruption Authority; Virginio Carnevali, President of Transparency International Italy.
The Italian BICA – Business Integrity Country Agenda project developed a consultation process across public and private institutions. Using surveys, the team members evaluated transparency, accountability and integrity across all sectors of society. The team carried out innovative research and created anti-corruption benchmarks and standards. In order to take action against corruption, the project results will provide detailed information to increase national organizations accountability in an effective way. Leadership from all sectors will inspire approaches to transparency and accountability, and ensure that anti-corruption rules are addressed in organizational policies and best practices.
